Hard not to love a hot oil bar pie. Had this 13 years ago in CT and delighted to see that there was a Tampa location (also minutes away from airport!) Spacious dining and bar to enjoy your fresh and hot pie. Wouldn't def recommend

I only been to Colony Grill twice and I was so happy to find the restaurant open after Hurricane Milton. Hot pizza was right on time. My order was put in right away. My pizza was bacon and mushrooms. So good!! A lot of people were eating outside because it was so nice. Go check it out.

We were in the area and craving pizza. Came in and ordered for take out. Greeted by a friendly staff member who explained the menu and her favorite item. The pizza is thin crust which I love. They have gluten free and nondairy cheese options available. Most popular is their hot oil pizza but I didn't want any spice to mine. I ordered the pepperoni and daughter ordered the sausage and pepper. Pizzas ready in about 15-20 minutes. They smelled soooo good on the ride home. Overall the pizza was delicious! Hubs said he thought it needed a but more flavor in the sauce but I thought it was good.

Mmm, yummy! I love pizza in all its forms and styles, and Colony Grill stood out to me for its very thin crust and hot sauce (one of its unique traits) when I sampled them from a Yelp Event a year ago. The service was so friendly when I arrived with my puppy. We went outside, it was hot, and it looked like it was about to storm, but the workers there made sure we were comfortable and adjusted the patio umbrella to keep the sun off us. They were also quick to bring a bowl of water for my sweet puppy Muffin. Anyway, I got a water, Rob got beer. I can't say anything about the beer since I didn't drink any, but Rob really enjoyed it. They had brought out sample glasses for him to try, which was generous and Rob was able to choose which one he liked best. So...I'm so glad I bother to do my homework and ASK QUESTIONS because... As much as I liked their hot sauce, I'm not a spicy kind of gal. I don't like stuff flamin' hot. Stupid me nearly ordered stingers on my pizza in ADDTION to the hot sauce, which would have been Death by Pizza, as the server informed me that the pepper on a spice level would be 9/10. Okay, never mind about the stingers then! So I went with meatball, sweet peppers, and mushrooms. The pizza came out relatively quickly, and it was hot and fresh. Rob really like his meats with sweet peppers. That's all I have to say about that. My pizza: The sausage gave it a more hearty texture and flavor as the crust is quite thin, and if you want more oomph to your pizza slice, the sausage is just the thing! The mushroom and sweet peppers added more flavor and texture and neutralized (at least for me) the heat from the hot sauce (that I wanted on there in the first place). Like I've said before, I'm not a hot sauce kind of gal, but the hot sauce pizza is what Colony Grill specializes, and makes it unique. Being in the mood to get out of my comfort zone, it certainly added a little more spice to my palate. For you heat seekers, the first bite was flamin' hot for me (server says its mostly mildly spicy, which it probably is for people who like stuff hot) but I scarfed down the slice my palate acclimated to it and I really enjoyed the pie. If you REALLY don't like spice, I don't recommend the hot sauce, and you're in luck because not all their pies come with it.

If you REALLY love pizza and only want to eat pizza, definitely go here. Especially if thin crust is your thing (that's all they have). I usually like to go to a pizza joint and grab a side salad so I can balance not eating too much pizza with something a little healthier. But literally all they have on the menu is pizza! Breakfast pizza, salad pizza, and regular pizza. But I'll give them credit that the pizza flavor is delicious and their hot oil is tasty! The service is great and the dogs were happy on the patio!

As a lover of anything Irish themed, I was excited to stop in at Colony Grill! I have to start off by saying that their pizza is . I'm a huuuuge pizza girl and this pizza had the perfect thin crust, the big chunks of bacon were crunchy and delicious, and the hot oil was to die for. The pint of Guinness was also great, a perfect pairing with the pizza. The service was also top notch and I can't wait to stop back in!

Irish style pizza in Midtown. This review is for delivery. I ordered via Door Dash, and the food arrived within the predicted window, well packaged, and still with crispy edges. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and a sausage and hot oil pizza. Both were good. The hot oil had a nice kick, so I recommend it if you like spicy food. I thought the crust had a nice chew. I've never had Irish styled pizza, but if this is representative, it's excellent pub food. Not too cheesy, but salty and greasy to help absorb beer. I don't know that I'd call this destination pizza, but it's tasty enough, and if I were at Midtown with the urge for pizza, I could eat here.

Colony Grill is a taste of CT right in Midtown Tampa. Great pizza, service and cold beers. If you like a little spice on your pizza the hot oil is a must. The only food items you can order is pizza.

Not going to lie, when I realized that my husband took me to an "Irish pizza place" I was tempted to walk out of Colony Grill and select a different spot for lunch. When I tried to order a Coke I was disappointed to find out that the restaurant only carries Pepsi products. The selection of beer and wine isn't great, but they do carry La Marca Prosecco so I ordered a glass. At first glance I was a bit skeptical when our cheese and pepperoni pizzas arrived, but after trying a slice the pizza eventually won me over. The presentation of the pizza is slightly odd. Our trays of pizzas were placed on the table instead of the usual pizza riser and the only plates available were disposable paper plates. The thin crust pizza is slightly chewy and wasn't super heavy on sauce or toppings. The hot oil really kicks up the pizza a notch and gives the pizza a smoky, robust flavor. The 12 inch pizzas start off at $10.50. We spent more on juice boxes for our two toddlers than we did on the pizza. Our family of four still had plenty of leftovers from the two pizzas we ordered. Overall, I am a fan of the hot oil pizza at Colony Grill, but I think I would prefer to do carry-out instead of dining in due to the lackluster beverage menu.

Came here after checking them out at a Yelp event. We were seated immediately and had a great waitress! Menu is simpler and sweet. Pizza and toppings. I ordered a pizza with black olives and onions. Our waitress asked if I wanted light onions, which I'm glad she asked and specified. Pizza came out hot and fresh! Very good! Took the rest home and it heated up well in the oven!
